A social media influencer and beauty parlour owner was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district on Friday following a domestic dispute, police said. The accused later allegedly attempted suicide by attacking himself with the same weapon and was admitted to a hospital.
The incident took place in Harra under the Sarurpur police station area, where the couple lived with their children.

According to police, Nisha Chauhan, who ran a beauty parlour and had gained a sizeable following on Instagram through her reels, was attacked by her husband, Pradeep, after an argument that reportedly stemmed from a dispute over property documents.
Investigators said tensions had existed between the couple for some time. The disagreement escalated on Thursday over the registration of a property they had purchased and flared up again on Friday morning.
During the altercation, Pradeep allegedly stabbed Nisha multiple times, inflicting fatal injuries. As the attack unfolded, the couple’s children witnessed the incident and began screaming for help. One of the children was also injured while trying to intervene, police said.
After the assault, the accused allegedly turned the knife on himself in an apparent suicide attempt.
Neighbours rushed to the house after hearing cries for help and found Nisha dead, while Pradeep was lying unconscious and covered in blood. They alerted the police and arranged for him to be taken to hospital.
Police teams and forensic experts reached the scene and launched an investigation. Nisha’s body was sent for post-mortem examination.
Following news of her death, several of Nisha’s videos and social media posts began circulating widely online.
Confirming the incident, Circle Officer (Sardhana) Ashutosh Kumar said police received information around 6 a.m. about the killing.
“Police immediately reached the spot and collected CCTV footage. Preliminary investigation revealed that a dispute had taken place between Nisha and her husband Pradeep. During the altercation, he attacked her, resulting in her death. One child was also injured while trying to intervene. Thereafter, the accused inflicted injuries on himself,” Kumar said.
He added that the accused is undergoing treatment and that further legal action is being taken by Sarurpur police.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the killing and are awaiting the post-mortem report as part of the ongoing probe.
