A teenager will on Tuesday face court accused of attempting to plan an extremist attack.
Counter-terrorism police raided a home in Maryborough, Queensland, last month seizing electronic devices from the property.
Almost a month later and a teenage boy has been charged with a host of offences.
Police will allege the boy, who they say was in possession of violent extremist material, was “planning to threaten people”.
He is charged with one count of acts of preparation to cause death or grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife in a public place and possessing violent extremist material.
The charges come following the raid on August 27 when police seized electronic devices and other objects from a Maryborough home.
The boy is expected to appear at Brisbane Children’s Court later on Tuesday.
Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public and investigations continue.
