Salman Khan knows his new YouTube channel might not be what his fans are looking for. But he has a different audience in mind: children. In a late-night Instagram post on October 10, the actor explained why the content on Being Salman Khan is aimed at little ones, with a mix of fun, family, love and education.
“Thank you for watching my YouTube channel. I understand that the content is not for you yet, but you also understand that it is for your little ones. Let’s see how this pans out (sic),” he wrote, before adding that education was just as important as fun and family.

Salman Khan has a different audience in mind
The message offers a clearer idea of what Salman wants to do with Being Salman Khan. Launched on September 22, the channel takes a different route from the usual celebrity YouTube page, where personal updates and behind-the-scenes moments tend to dominate.
Instead, Salman plays two versions of himself: an experienced acting and personality coach and a student learning the ropes. The videos revolve around acting, body language, dialogue delivery and the mannerisms that have become part of his screen identity. The coach guides the student through these lessons, turning the actor’s familiar style into a playful learning exercise.
The channel has uploaded 11 videos so far. While the format may not be designed to appeal to every Salman fan, his latest message suggests that winning over adult viewers isn’t necessarily the point.
On October 9, the actor shared the channel’s link on his Instagram Story, inviting fans to explore it. “Let’s start from the beginning. My official YouTube channel. You will find everything here, from A to Z,” he wrote.
From music to films, Salman’s YouTube journey
This isn’t Salman’s first attempt at building a presence on YouTube. In 2020, he launched Salman Khan Films Music, which has since grown to nearly three million subscribers. The channel features songs from his films as well as independently released music.
Music also gave Salman a chance to explore a different side of his creative life during the COVID-19 pandemic. He released tracks such as Pyaar Karona and Tere Bina, adding singing to his work beyond acting.
Away from YouTube, Salman is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20, marking his 15th season as the reality show’s host. On the big screen, he will next appear in Maatrubhumi, earlier titled Battle of Galwan. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also stars Chitrangda Singh. Its release has been delayed, and the makers are yet to announce a revised date.
