Samsung has launched the Galaxy M47 5G in India as the latest addition to its mid-range smartphone lineup. The new Galaxy M-series device ships with a large AMOLED display, a powerful Snapdragon chipset, a high-resolution camera setup, and a large battery with fast charging support.
The handset comes with dual colours, AI features and long-term update support, and will go on sale via Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy M47 specs and features
The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G features a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, which should offer improved durability against scratches and accidental drops.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
For photography, the Galaxy M47 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup placed inside a pill-shaped camera module. The setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, the phone gets a 12-megapixel selfie camera housed inside a punch-hole cutout. The device also supports 4K video recording.
Keeping the lights on is a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging through a USB Type-C port. The phone also supports bypass charging, which can help reduce battery strain during gaming or heavy usage while plugged in.
On the software side, the Galaxy M47 5G runs on Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out of the box. Samsung has promised six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The phone also includes AI features such as AI Voice Transcription. For durability, it comes with improved scratch resistance, fall protection, and an unspecified dust and water resistance rating.

The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G price in India starts at Rs 22,999, inclusive of all offers. Samsung is expected to reveal detailed pricing for individual variants soon.
The smartphone will go on sale in India starting July 4 via Amazon. The day when the e-commerce platform is set to kick off its Prime Day 2026 sales for its premium members. The smartphone will be available in two colour options — Blaze Blue and Rogue Red.
