Other equipment includes aluminium pedals, ambient lighting, wireless charging, an electric sunroof, Climatronic automatic AC, a 25.6cm touchscreen infotainment system and a 20.32cm Virtual Cockpit.
koda has also added more convenience features to the lower variants. The Classic and Classic+ trims now get Climatronic automatic AC and a rear defogger.
Skoda Kylaq Sportline engine and gearbox
Power comes from the familiar 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, which produces 115bhp and 178Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 6-speed manual version of the Kylaq Sportline is priced at Rs 11.32 lakh, while the automatic version costs Rs 12.32 lakh (ex-showroom).
Safety remains a key highlight
The Kylaq Sportline retains the model’s 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating and comes with six airbags. It also continues to offer a comprehensive package of active and passive safety features.
The Kylaq is backed by koda’s Super Care package, which includes a standard four-year warranty, four years of roadside assistance and four labour-free services.
With the Sportline, koda is looking to give the Kylaq a more distinctive, performance-inspired character without altering its turbo-petrol powertrain. The new variant also broadens the choice for buyers looking for a more visually aggressive version of the compact SUV.
