Bobby Deol is receiving love from both critics and family following the release of Bandar. Celebrating the actor’s acclaimed performance, Sunny Deol shared a heartwarming photograph of Bobby receiving a kiss on the cheek from their mother, Prakash Kaur, along with a heartfelt note praising his younger brother’s latest achievement.

In the picture, Bobby is seen leaning towards his mother as she affectionately kisses him on the cheek.

Sharing the image on social media, Sunny wrote, “So happy, Bob. Love you (sic).”

The actor also reposted several positive reviews of Bandar on his Instagram Stories and expressed how proud the family was of Bobby’s work. Alongside the reviews, he wrote, “Everyone’s raving about your performance Bob. Love you (sic).”

The post quickly drew attention from fans, many of whom were delighted to see the rare mother-son moment. Prakash Kaur, wife of veteran actor Dharmendra, has largely stayed away from the public eye over the years, making appearances and family photographs involving her relatively uncommon.

Sunny’s tribute comes at a significant moment in Bobby’s career as the actor earns widespread appreciation for his performance in Bandar.

Written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the film is inspired by real-life events and follows Samar, a once-successful singer-actor struggling to revive his fading career. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is arrested following a sexual assault complaint filed by a woman named Gayatri, played by Sapna Pabbi.

The accusation thrusts Samar into a chaotic media storm and legal battle, with the character finding himself trapped in a system that constantly judges and controls him, much like the metaphor suggested by the film’s title.

Bandar features an ensemble cast featuring Sanya Malhotra, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Indrajith Sukumaran, Jitendra Joshi, Raj B Shetty and Nagesh Bhonsle.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and has been drawing attention for both its subject matter and performances.
