A Sydney woman who won more than $1m in the Saturday Lotto has revealed she almost quit her job when she received the news.
She won $1.2m as one of five division one winners in Saturday’s 4691 draw.
Initially, the woman missed multiple phone calls from The Lott before answering at work.
“I’m just at work right now. Did I win division one?” she asked.
“That almost makes me want to run out of the office and quit right now!”
She said her first plans were to spend the money renovating her bathroom.
“It’s so bizarre. I don’t always play but lately I’ve just been going, ‘Gosh, I’d love to win’, so I’ve been getting tickets every now and then.”
