A 14-year-old girl in Gujarat’s Kutch district has accused her parents of repeatedly raping and assaulting her, confining her at home and allegedly taking nude photographs of her. Police have registered a case against the couple under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other relevant sections.
The incident was reported from Anjar area, where the girl lives with her parents and three sisters. The family, originally from another state, has been living in Gujarat for around six years.

According to the complaint, the girl contacted the police helpline after allegedly being assaulted and confined by her parents over her friendship with a boy.
GIRL ALLEGES ASSAULT AFTER PHONE CALL WITH FRIEND
The girl told police that on September 14, she was speaking to a male friend from Agra over the phone when her mother saw them talking and questioned her about the call.
According to the complaint, when the girl’s father returned from work, her mother told him that she had been speaking to a boy and was in a relationship with him. The father allegedly became angry, assaulted the girl and locked her inside the house.
She alleged that she was denied food and water and was beaten for several hours.
ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULT AND CONFINEMENT
The girl alleged that her father sexually assaulted her at home multiple times over the following days, with her mother present.
According to her complaint, she was also repeatedly confined inside the house and subjected to physical abuse. She alleged that the assaults continued on September 20 and September 29.
On September 29, she reportedly went to the house of her aunt, Yashodaben, who lives in the same residential complex, and called the 112 emergency helpline from her aunt’s phone.
The girl alleged that her parents took the phone away and made her return home. She was then allegedly locked inside the house again.
MOTHER TOOK NUDE PHOTOGRAPHS
The girl further alleged that on October 1, her father sexually assaulted her again while her mother was present. She also accused her mother of taking nude photographs of her during the alleged assault.
The next morning, after her father left for work, the girl went to her aunt’s house and narrated the alleged abuse to her. She then contacted the police helpline again.
Following the complaint, police took the girl’s parents into custody and began an investigation.
Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and other relevant provisions based on the minor’s allegations. The girl was subsequently taken into the care of the authorities, police said.
