Two teenagers have been charged with animal cruelty after allegedly videoing themselves forcing vape fumes down the throat of a black swan in Western Australia.
The teenagers – one aged 16 and another aged 13, both from Erskine – have been charged with causing unnecessary harm to an animal, after video of their alleged vile at surfaced on social media.
In the clip, the pair can allegedly be seen whacking a swan on the head and forcing it to inhale vape fumes, while on an inflatable boat on a lake near Endeavour Island, in the City of Mandurah.
Prosecutors have alleged the pair removed a lure from the swan’s neck before one of the teens force-fed the vape into the swan’s beak.
The other teenager is alleged to have hit the swan on the head.

In a video of the pair leaving court, captured by Nine News, one of their guardians could be heard telling media to “bugger off” before driving away with the car door open.
The 16-year-old was granted bail with conditions and the matter is listed in Rockingham Children’s Court on September 3.
The 13-year-old was also granted bail with conditions, but has not entered a plea.
His matter is listed in Mandurah Children’s Court on September 14 for summary disclosure.
