The Block stars Lisa and Rosco are heading into one of the biggest weekends of their lives with a newborn in their arms, after welcoming baby boy Jude Ross just days before the show’s auction.

The Season 22 couple, already juggling life on the show with parenting two-year-old son Lando, confirmed their second son arrived on October 23, weighing 3.33 kilograms, following what Lisa described as a dramatic and fast-moving labour.

According to New Idea, Jude was born seven days overdue after the 34-year-old drove herself to hospital with no real signs that labour had properly begun. Things changed the moment she stepped out of the car.

Ross, 38, was still about 40 minutes away with Lando when the situation quickly escalated.

As they made their way in, Lisa took a shower and the cramping “intensified”.

She told the publication she was in “shock and denial” because she believed there was still enough time to reach the delivery suite.

Her midwife, however, knew otherwise, and after a two-hour labour, Jude was born in the hospital shower cubicle, where Lisa gave birth while on her knees.

By the time Rosco arrived, baby Jude had already been born.

Lisa and Rosco are now preparing to front The Block auction with their newborn, with Lisa confirming Jude will appear on Sunday’s broadcast alongside his parents and big brother Lando.

The couple joked that Lando and Jude would be their little mascots for the big day.

Lisa and Rosco entered The Block 2026 as one of the show’s family-focused teams, taking on House 3 in Mount Eliza after a house swap early in the season.

Married for four years and together for nine, they came into the competition with renovation experience of their own after spending years transforming their home and completing a subdivision project before the show.

Lisa, a paramedic and registered nurse, and Rosco, who works in logistics in the oil and gas industry, had only a short lead-in before filming and then faced the usual rush of room reveals, build setbacks and judging days.

They also delivered some standout results, including a win in main bedroom and walk-in robe week, while leaning into a warm coastal style shaped by family life.

Speaking to Nine ahead of the birth, Lisa described the pregnancy as a “beautiful blessing” at a time when the couple were also living out their dream of appearing on The Block.

“There’s something special about being pregnant the first time,” she said.

“But the second time we get to experience with Lando. Watching him understand he’s going to be a brother is also really special.”

The couple also shared that the pregnancy came earlier than expected.

“We were sort of hoping like later this year,” Lisa said.

“I had only just gone back to work so we thought towards the end of this year maybe we’ll give it a crack.

“But low and behold, by the time we had that conversation we were pretty much pregnant without knowing.

She said they were “very blessed” to be able to conceive naturally.

“There’s a lot of times where it doesn’t happen like that.”

“So we’re just really holding on to all our blessings at the moment.
