Hyderabad: On Friday, August 7, the Telangana High Court expressed concern about the financial strain that freebies and disqualified beneficiaries who were beneficiaries of welfare schemes have placed on the government’s finances.
Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka, who was deposed after pleading contempt for state Principal Secretary ( Finance ) Sandeep Kumar Sultania, made the observation that the government’s funds are significantly reduced after employee salaries, debt servicing, and welfare scheme implementation.
” There are so many pointless completely strategies being implemented. Well, welfare initiatives should be carried out. Many people are receiving the advantage without being eligible. The” Rythu Bandhu” ( farmer investment support scheme ) is present. Are crorepatis never receiving the profit? In his remarks in Telugu, he asked how much of the state’s stress is caused.
Citizens of earlier generations were eager to contribute to the nation in the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters, he said, but the current trend is to question what specific benefits they have received from the government, he said.
Yet removing the PDS ration card for a single beneficiary would cause a social uproar, he claimed.
He claimed that because of a lack of agricultural workers in the state, farmers are having trouble in villages because he made it clear that he wasn’t criticizing people.
He claimed that state-run agricultural workers from states like Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh are employed in the position.
Problems need to be pondered through,
Justice Bheemapaka emphasized that he is not criticizing the government or making a social discourse, and that the problems must be looked at.
He claimed that even Lord Kubera ( god of wealth ) would go “bankrupt” in the event that the same pattern of massive expenditures on benefits and freebies for ineligible beneficiaries continued in addition to the existence of a sizable number of PDS ration cards intended for BPL families.
He claimed it had to be done because the practical issues involved, noting that it is painful to contact an agent to the jury.
The judge scheduled the hear for August 19 as the case was scheduled for.

Sultania was subject of a bailable permit issued by the court on July 10 and directed the town police inspector to “arrest him wherever he is found” and deliver him to the court on Friday.

The official was asked to appear before the court on July 10 and neither a counter affidavit nor a dispense with application ( seeking exemption from appearance ) were filed as a result of the court’s order.
