Three people were killed and 15 others were injured in an explosion near a cafe in central Moscow on Saturday evening, according to the Russian capital’s police.
Police said the blast occurred at around 8 pm local time near a summer cafe located in or near one of the Stalin-era skyscrapers at Kudrinskaya Square.
The injured sustained wounds of varying severity and were receiving medical attention, the statement said.

Investigators and emergency services were deployed to the scene as authorities launched an investigation into the cause of the explosion. No information on the cause of the blast or any suspects was immediately released.
