A witness claims to have seen a mysterious craft that “wasn’t human-made” flying over Iran.
The witness – who identified themselves as Ali Sedaghati – shared a video of the incident on X explaining the sighting took place on Sunday (20.09.26) and claiming the craft – which appeared to be a single-wing craft with a pointed tail section – was hovering above the Azadegan Highway in Tehran.
Sedaghati wrote: “I really don’t know what it is, but it was near the clouds, had special lights, and was hovering in the space without any sound! … It wasn’t human-made. It was a UFO, I’m sure.”
Iran is currently locked in a conflict with the US and a spokesperson for the Pentagon was asked to provide a comment on whether the sighting could be linked to American military operations but they told the Daily Mail newspaper they had “nothing to provide” in regards to the incident.
The sighting comes 50 years after another famous UFO sighting over Tehran 50 years ago.
Miltary jets were scrambled on September 19, 1976 after a giant diamond-shaped craft was spotted in the skies above the city in the early hours of the morning.
One of the pilots later claimed the object was the size of a 747 commercial jet but moved too fast to be an airliner.
The latest sighting comes after a UFO expert claims glowing orbs seen in the sky could be a “warp drive” used by alien space craft.
Professor Avi Loeb of Harvard University, who is a leading US astrophysicist who sits on the UAP Science Advisory Council, gave his thoughts on the balls of light often seen in reports relating to UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) and claimed the orbs could be light from a transportation mechanism used by extraterrestrial beings.
During an appearance on NewsNation, he explained: “If they have a cargo transportation system between habitable planets within their planetary system, we might see flashes of light from the beamer of a light sail.
“Technology that we can imagine. We don’t have such a system as of yet, but they may have it. In addition, they may also use for transportation a warp drive.
“That’s a bubble of distorted space-time that allows one to carry a cargo at an arbitrary speed across interstellar distances …
“If a warp bubble passes through the Earth’s atmosphere, it would cause a disturbance and produce a glowing ball of air.”
The latest batch of UFO documents released by the Pentagon contain a report dating back to 2010 which suggests “human observers” were struck down with a variety of ailments – including hair loss, nightmares, boils and signs of radiation illness – within 72 hours after seeing an “anomalous aerospace-related event”
The 38-page study lists symptoms suffered by three “antennae engineers” who were previously “fit and active” before coming into contact with a mysterious event in the skies.
The document reads: “Several years ago three previous fit and active individuals experienced an anomalous [‘irregular, incongruous and inconsistent with their domain’] aerospace-related event. Within 72 hours they suffered medical sighs and symptoms”.
It went on to list ailments including skin redness, pins and needles, diarrhoea, hair loss, boils and heart palpitations as well as nightmares, insomnia and anxiety while two of the three also suffered photophobia – an extreme sensitivity to light – as well as stinging eyes and swollen eyelids.
One of the three is said to have developed signs of radiation illness as well as “malignant transformations” linked to cancer. The study concluded the three had been “subjected to an accidental exposure … to a broadband ultrahigh radiofrequency mixed radiation of RF (radio frequency), NIER (non-ionising electromagnetic radiation) and microwave radiation.”
