The political, economic and cultural pulse of South India will take centre stage as the India Today Conclave South 2026 brings together some of the region’s most influential political leaders, policymakers, thinkers and changemakers.
Held at the Grand Hyatt in Kochi, the flagship event on Tuesday and Wednesday will examine the big questions shaping the South and its place in India’s next phase of growth — from federalism and delimitation to governance, jobs, investment, defence, technology and the changing political landscape.

Among the key political voices at the conclave will be Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh, Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, and Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.
Beyond politics and policy, the event will bring together some of South India’s most prominent cultural and creative voices, including filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, actors Amala Paul and Shruti Haasan, and leading artistes from the worlds of music and dance.
A major political thread running through the conclave will be the South’s evolving relationship with national power.
Leaders and political voices will discuss federalism, delimitation, representation and the question of how the region’s political weight could shape India’s future.
