One of the injured, Shivam Shukla, alleged that he had gone to the nightclub with his friends for dinner when the altercation broke out.

He claimed that a group of men, who were already consuming alcohol at the venue, began abusing another individual. When he and his friends objected, the group allegedly turned on them and attacked them with liquor bottles and physical force.

Shivam alleged that one of the accused struck him on the head with a liquor bottle, causing a serious head injury. Two of his friends also sustained injuries in the incident.

The CCTV footage purportedly shows members of the two groups engaging in a violent brawl, with bottles, chairs and other objects being used during the fight. The incident created panic among other customers present at the nightclub.

POLICE LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION INTO THE MATTER

The complainant further alleged that the nightclub routinely remains open beyond the permitted hours and that similar incidents have occurred at the establishment in the past. He urged authorities to take strict action against those involved in the assault.

Responding to the incident, Nawabad police said they had taken cognisance of the complaint and were examining the CCTV footage to identify those involved in the violence.

Station House Officer Ravi Srivastava said a case would be registered after verifying the facts and appropriate legal action would be taken against the accused.

Police are also looking into the circumstances that led to the clash and whether there were any violations of operational rules by the nightclub. Further investigation is underway.
