Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has hit back at US President Donald Trump’s threat to “finish the job” against Tehran, warning Washington against another military confrontation and accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of pushing the United States into a war for his own political survival.

“Last time you wanted to ‘finish the job’, Iran emerged even stronger. Want to try your luck again? Be our guest. But be careful, we have unfinished jobs too,” Araghchi said in a post on X.

The Iranian foreign minister also accused Netanyahu of trying to drag Washington into another war to avoid facing legal consequences in Israel, warning that such a move could have serious repercussions for the country and Trump himself.

“Netanyahu is driving America into another war to stay out of jail, whatever the consequences for Israel—let alone POTUS,” Araghchi wrote.

Araghchi’s remarks came after Trump issued a strong endorsement of Netanyahu ahead of Israel’s October 27 parliamentary election, warning that the United States could take matters into its own hands if Israeli voters chose a different leader.

In a lengthy message addressed to the “Great People of Israel” on Truth Social, Trump praised Netanyahu’s leadership and his role in confronting Iran, describing the Israeli prime minister as a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and an even greater partner for peace.

Trump accused Iran of threatening Israel and the United States for decades, referring to the slogans “Death to Israel, Death to America” and warning that Tehran could eventually act on those threats.

He claimed that Iran had been systematically weakened militarily and financially, adding that Washington would “soon finish the job” unless Tehran changed its course rapidly.

Trump also warned Israeli voters against choosing anyone other than Netanyahu, saying the United States would have to do the work itself if Israel ended up with the “wrong Leader”.

“I am not inclined to do so,” Trump said, while declaring his “Complete and Total Endorsement” of Netanyahu’s re-election bid.

The exchange underscores the continuing confrontation between Washington and Tehran, with Araghchi portraying Trump’s threat as a potential push towards another war and warning that Iran would not be intimidated by renewed military action.
