A woman has been found dead in the backyard of a home in Melbourne’s outer suburbs.
The 35-year-old woman was found at a home on Sunnybank Way, Pakenham at about 8.10am on Sunday.
She could not be revived.
Neighbours reportedly heard screams shortly before the tragic discovery was made, according to 9News.
A man who was home at the time has been taken to hospital and has spoken with police.
Homicide detectives and local investigators were on scene on Sunday afternoon.
“Police will await the results of a post-mortem as the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death remain unclear,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
