Zara Larsson is the latest celebrity to wear a Perth-based beauty product for her Los Angeles concert, joining the likes of Sydney Sweeney and Victoria’s Secret Angels.
The 28-year-old Swedish pop star had her spray tan finished with GlowDry Australia’s drying powder, founded by Perth mother Fiona Dunne, for her LA shows earlier this month.
Larsson’s spray tan artist Guy Corey is known to use the product on his celebrity clients after also completing Sydney Sweeney’s tan with the powder for the 2025 Emmy Awards.
Ms Dunne, who is also a spray tan artist herself, said seeing Larsson wear a product from her small business was “surreal” and “incredibly special”.
“It’s honestly a bit surreal! I never imagined my little Aussie brand would end up being used on one of the biggest names in music right now,” she said.
“As a small business owner and mum of three, there are so many challenges that come with building a brand, so moments like this are incredibly special, and I honestly have to pinch myself.
“To have our products recognised and used by some of the world’s leading spray tanning professionals is incredibly validating.
“It’s a lovely reminder of how far we’ve come.”
In 2018, Ms Dunne discovered a gap in the market for a product that made fake tanning quicker, easier and more comfortable.
“Having worked as a spray tan artist myself, I knew firsthand how uncomfortable that sticky feeling and long dry-down time after a spray tan could be,” she said.
“Our GlowDry drying powder helps absorb that excess tackiness, leaving skin feeling soft, dry and comfortable without compromising the appearance or outcome of the tan.
“For professional artists working with celebrities, models and performers, time is incredibly valuable. They need products that work quickly and deliver beautiful stage-worthy results.”
Ms Dunne said Larsson looked incredible on stage in LA, where she performed the biggest US headline show of her career to date.
“I think Zara is fabulous! She has such a confident, fun and glamorous style, and her tan is always beautiful,” she said.
“Her whole aesthetic is very much that glowing, bronzed, effortless beauty look that I love.
“I love her music; in fact, my three kids and I are all obsessed with the song Lush Life; it’s so happy and carefree.”
Larsson, who rose to prominence in 2008 after winning a Swedish talent show competition, has been riding a wave of success after opening for Tate McRae on her Miss Possessive Tour last year.
The Ain’t My Fault singer is currently performing the Australian leg of her Midnight Sun World Tour, supporting her fourth studio album Midnight Sun.
She is set to take to the stage at RAC Arena on October 20.
The concert was originally set for Perth HPC, but the venue had to be upgraded due to high demand.
Her Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide shows this week have sold out.
