After a group of students reportedly engaged in’open violence and reportedly used a deadly weapons at a busy intersection near Davis Road on Saturday, concerns over law and order in Bengaluru resurfaced.
Citizens are concerned that a video of the incident has received widespread attention on social media.
Apparently, the incident took place around 7.30 am close Happy Junction’s Gausia Tea Hotel, which is nearer to St. Alphonsus School. Visitors claim that eight men came on two motorbikes after reportedly breaking traffic laws by riding without helmets and bringing four people on each car.
Witnesses claimed that a slight altercation turned into a tense altercation between team members. One of them supposedly pulled out a lengthy knife and waved it in a menacing direction, causing stress in the crowd.
A college, tea booths, and other industrial establishments were present in the troubled area. Parents who took their children to school, pedestrians, and commuters were apparently frightened by the show of murder.
Residents of the area claim that there have recently been more incidents involving noisy people and drug-abusing boys. They expressed concern that despite the existence of security system, such violent deeds are occurring in broad sun.
The Bengaluru City Police and other nearby personal establishments are thought to have been the subjects of the whole incident.
Top police officers have been tagged on social media by numerous users who have argued that displaying weapons in public and intimidating others shouldn’t be seen as small altercations.
No formal declaration has yet been made regarding arrests or circumstance registration.
Residents of Bengaluru are calling for more police patrols and stiffer law and order police in response to the event, which has once more raised concerns about public safety and the prevalence of anti-social tendencies in some areas.
