Hassan: After worried dairy farmers threatened to escalate their protests after a drop in business caused by Muslims ‘ collective efforts to ban cattle slaughter, hostilities erupted in the Hassan district of Karnataka.

Some farmers showed up at the regular cattle fair in Hassan on May 26 and predicted high demand, just to discover a shocking reality when they arrived on Tuesday morning. Many were left without any buyers as a result of the significant ripples caused by the cattle murder ban, which resulted in a steep decrease in cattle purchases.

The income from these fairs every Tuesday from 4:30 to 8:00 am offers some farmers a significant opportunity to finance their future crop cycles. The concerned farmers held a rally in response to the Muslim group declaring a ban on the murder of cows, bulls, buffaloes, or oxen. If their lives were impacted, they threatened to bring their cattle to the lieutenant judge’s office.

One of the protesting cheese farmers, Vokkaliga Gowda, said,” We have been selling cattle for years; it is our main source of income. ” To buy seeds and fertilizers for the future agricultural time, I urgently need Rs 40, 000 right now. I need the money to survive, not the government, an impartial group, or the Muslim community. We may have no choice but to leave our cattle at the lieutenant judge’s doorstep if they forbid us from trading our animal.

Advocate Anshad-e-Palya, who represents the Arab organizations in Hassan, claimed the decision was motivated by the rise in targeted harassment by self-declared cow vigilantes.

Intimidating banners were erected in various Muslim-majority neighborhoods to warn residents against purchasing cattle, according to Anshad. The word specifically warned that everyone found managing cattle would have their homes destroyed. We spoke with the police, the municipal corporation, and the city management, all of whom denied installing them. It’s obvious that some scoundrels may had done this, and stringent measures must be taken.

Hassan Shubhanwita, the superintendent of police, claimed that no government organizations were involved in the placement of the advertisements. ” As of right now, no complaints have been made. I have, however, requested that the neighborhood investigator check the location and location of the symbol. No one has the power to bulldoze homes, she continued, and the information mentioned in the banner is completely false.
