Hassan: After worried dairy farmers threatened to escalate their protests after a drop in business caused by Muslims ‘ collective efforts to ban cattle slaughter, hostilities erupted in the Hassan district of Karnataka.

Advocate Anshad-e-Palya, who represents the Arab organizations in Hassan, claimed the decision was motivated by the rise in targeted harassment by self-declared cow vigilantes.
Intimidating banners were erected in various Muslim-majority neighborhoods to warn residents against purchasing cattle, according to Anshad. The word specifically warned that everyone found managing cattle would have their homes destroyed.
