Kinetic DX+ gets larger 3.1kWh battery, up to 132km claimed range

Kinetic has updated its electric scooter range with the launch of the DX+ 3.1kWh, which gets a larger LFP battery, more range and additional convenience features. The company has also retained the existing DX nameplate with a 3kWh battery.

The Kinetic DX+ 3.1kWh is priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom), while the DX 3kWh costs Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom). The company says the upgraded DX+ can deliver an IDC-certified range of up to 132km, with a claimed real-world range of 105-110km.

The DX+ is powered by a 5.2bhp (3.8kW) peak-power hub-mounted BLDC motor and gets two riding modes: Range and Power. The new 3.1kWh LFP battery can be charged from 0-80 percent in approximately three hours.

Kinetic DX+ gets 3.1kWh LFP battery

The larger battery is the key change on the updated DX+. Kinetic says the 3.1kWh LFP unit has been designed to balance range and durability for everyday urban use. The scooter also gets K-Coast Tech, which enables energy regeneration during deceleration.

Other features include Park Assist with Reverse, Easy Charge, telematics and IP67-rated protection against water and dust. The DX+ continues with the Kinetic DX’s all-metal body.

The scooter gets a 220mm front disc brake and 130mm rear drum brake, along with 12-inch tubeless tyres at both ends. It has 165mm of ground clearance and a 1,315mm wheelbase.

37-litre storage and other features

Practicality remains a key focus, with the DX+ offering 37 litres of under-seat storage. It also gets an Easy Flip one-touch pillion footrest and a 714mm seat length.

The DX+ 3.1kWh will be offered in Black, Silver, Blue, White and Red, while the DX 3kWh will be available in Black and Silver.

Kinetic DX price and festive offers

The Kinetic DX 3kWh is priced at Rs 1,18,599, while the DX+ 3.1kWh costs Rs 1,27,650, both ex-showroom.

Kinetic is also offering festive benefits on the two scooters. The DX gets a Rs 2,000 benefit, while the DX+ gets a Rs 3,000 benefit. The company is additionally offering an Rs 8,999 extended warranty on the DX+, Rs 5,000 Amazon cashback and a Rs 5,000 PME drive benefit.

The DX+ includes a retractable charging cable and telematics in its vehicle price.
