For years, Rhiti Tiwari has had a famous surname without quite living in its shadow. Daughter of Bhojpuri star and BJP politician Manoj Tiwari, she has largely kept her public life low-key, quietly moving between music, business and politics. Now, Bigg Boss 20 is putting her in a very different kind of spotlight.
At 25, Rhiti is stepping into a world where privacy is not exactly part of the deal. The singer-songwriter, composer, producer and entrepreneur has been confirmed as one of the contestants on Salman Khan’s reality show. And if her premiere promo is anything to go by, her father’s Bigg Boss history may become one of the show’s favourite talking points.

Rhiti, who is also known as Riti and goes by the nickname Zooni, was introduced alongside Manoj in the premiere. Salman wasted little time bringing up her father’s stint on Bigg Boss 4. He even had a cheeky warning for her: “Baap pe mat jaana” – essentially, don’t follow your father’s fighting footsteps.
That little joke comes with some history. Manoj was once a Bigg Boss contestant himself, and his season became memorable for its share of heated moments. Now, his daughter has walked into the same house, albeit with a career and identity of her own.
Music appears to be at the heart of that identity. Rhiti trained in Indian classical music and plays the guitar. She has worked as a singer, songwriter, composer and producer, releasing both original music and covers. Her early work included the romantic track Chale Aao in 2020, a collaboration associated with Palaash Muchhal. The music video featured Nandish Sandhu and Charlie Chauhan, and Rhiti was introduced to a wider audience through Instagram.
Her release, Jhoothi Baby, arrived in December 2025. A playful synth-pop track, it was written, sung and composed by Rhiti, with the song promoted through billboards, streaming platforms and her YouTube channel. Her social media presence is similarly centred around music, lifestyle and glimpses of her life beyond the Tiwari family name.
Her family, naturally, remains an important part of her story. Rhiti is Manoj Tiwari and his first wife Rani Tiwari’s daughter. Her parents separated after years of marriage, and Rhiti has largely lived with her mother in Mumbai while maintaining ties with her father and his side of the family. Manoj later remarried and has two younger daughters, including Saanvika.
Yet, for all the famous names around her, Rhiti has so far maintained a relatively modest public presence. Her Instagram and YouTube accounts are more likely to point you towards her music than family drama. That could change very quickly inside the Bigg Boss house.
Whether she follows his footsteps or writes a very different Bigg Boss story of her own is now the fun part.
