Hyderabad: On May 26, the food safety teams of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation ( CMC) issued a show cause notice to a jail-themed Mandi restaurant in Madeenguda for poor hygiene.

The restaurant, Gismat Jail Mandi, did not possess any records for pest control or water testing, according to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India ( FSSAI ). Additionally, CMC stated in a release that medical records for food operators were not produced during assessment.

The staff did not have proper apron or hand gloves when meat was stored in filthy situations and handled it. Additionally, a bad ole’ cleaning area, chopping boards in bad shape, and poor illumination in the kitchen and store room were all identified.

CMC has stated that normal food safety checks will be conducted throughout all eateries, kitchens, restaurant, and food establishments to raise the bar and public health security in Cyberabad.
